After School Program
SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITY
After-School Specialist / Building Use Coordinator
- After-School Specialist
The After School Program is beginning virtually this year, with the possibility of an in-person program when students can safely return to the building. For the virtual portion of the program, we may be offering some programming in which Whitman students would participate in activities with students and staff from other FCPS middle schools.
Program & Club Sign Ups
The After-School Program will have a variety of activities each week for students to explore. The program will run 5 days a week with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities. Club sponsors will post activities in their club google classrooms each week so students can explore some activities on their own. Academic Support is offered Tuesday-Thursday by appointment with students teachers. Teachers will hold office hours weekly from 2:20pm-3:20pm. Students can schedule a time to meet with them for academic support. Also Tuesday through Thursday, our clubs and activities will run in two sessions. Session I (3:00pm-3:45pm) Session II (4:00pm-4:45pm). The club schedule will vary by day and week, students can access the weekly schedule through the Wildcats After-School Site.
This year, we are offering two types of clubs. Some clubs will be offered by Whitman staff for only Whitman students. However, in addition to those clubs, we are also offering some collaborative clubs with two other FCPS Middle Schools (Key and Sandburg Middle Schools). These “joint clubs” will be open to Whitman students, as well as students from the schools previously listed. The joint clubs will be sponsored by a mixture of FCPS staff from these schools. If a club is open to students outside of Whitman, it is noted in the club description and club calendar.
Registration and Cost
Registration for the After School Program is completed by parents as part of the beginning of the year paperwork. In order to participate in any after school clubs and activities (virtual or in-person), students must be registered. Students arriving mid-year will complete the registration with their paperwork during course registration. If you have not completed the After School Program Registration form yet, please complete it using the button below.
There is NO cost to participate in the After School program.

Students were given the link to this website during Wildcat Time, but it can also be found on the Student Information Central Site.
