Military Family Night
Mark your calendar! Whitman Middle School has a wonderful tradition of hosting Military Family Appreciation Night during Month of the Military Child. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, April 25 from 6-8 PM. The evening is a way to recognize our amazing military families and celebrate our military connected students. Our special guest speakers include Captain Pete Shoemaker, Commodore of the Commander Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic, and Jeffrey McKay, Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and Whitman alum. The evening will also include military educational displays, resource tables, presentation of the colors, and dinner from many of our local restaurants. We will also be giving away a variety of prizes, to include tickets to a Nationals game, gifts cards to local restaurants and businesses, and Purple Up t-shirts.
