Ms. Miller Recognized as FCPS 2020 Region 3 Outstanding Outstanding School-based Operational Employee!
Congratulations to our office assistant Lindsey Miller who was recognized as the FCPS 2020 Region 3 Outstanding School-based Operational Employee and one of six finalists for the 2020 Outstanding School-based Operational Employee award!
Upon entering Whitman, your attention will be immediately drawn to the Attendance Office, the central hub where students, parents, and staff congregate to find out what’s happening! Inside, you will find Lindsey with a friendly greeting and a smile on her face. She knows all 1000 students by name and is a second mom, calling to wake them up if they’ve overslept or storing a band instrument behind her desk. She is an integral member of the Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team, entering discipline data into SIS, and scheduling IEP meetings. She is the news liaison and yearbook sponsor and has helped countless students get connected through technology distribution during the pandemic closure. As one staff member stated, “Lindsey is the heart and soul of Whitman!”
