Mount Vernon High School will kick off the new year with Curriculum Night on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  This event is for all rising 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade families. Please save the date; we have also attached a flyer for the event.  During curriculum night families will experience the following: 

  • 6:00 - 6:30: Academic Advising Presentation: This presentation is designed for new families, rising freshmen and any new upperclassmen families.  
  • 6:30 - 7:00:  IB/Alumni Student Panel: Students and parents will have the opportunity to hear from recent MVHS alumni about their experiences in college and how Mount Vernon helped prepare them for success. 
  • 6:30 - 7:30:  Curriculum Night Instructional Fair:  Families will have the opportunity to meet and hear from faculty representatives from each department (English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Career and Technical Education, Health and PE, Fine and Performing Arts).  Families are encouraged to ask questions and learn about the courses you are considering for next year.
  • 7:15 - 8:00:  PTSA Meeting:  All parents are invited to stay for our January meeting.
