Whitman Seventh-Grader Wins Virginia History Day Competition
Our own Zoe Limberg was named the Virginia History Day Champion in the Junior Exhibit category for the National History Day project. Zoe’s project, “Bootlegging, Beer, & Booze: The Great American Experiment,” will advance to the national competition.

Summer Values in Prevention (VIP) Camp
FCPS in partnership with Neighborhood and Community Services will be hosting VIP Camp (Values in Prevention) at Sandburg Middle School. The camp will be June 29 - July 28 from 8:00am - 4:00pm. The camp will consist of Sports, STEAM Activities, Cooking and several exciting field trips!

Register for the Career and Technical Education Summer Academy
CTE Summer Academy (CSA) is a weekly enrichment program that allows students to dive deeper into CTE program areas and encourages skill development and career exploration. Students are able to personalize their experience by choosing which CTE classes they will take! Open to students in grades 7-11 during the 2021-22 school year. Space is limited, and registration is on a first-come basis until seats are filled. Register now.

Anticipated Bus Delays
Due to the bus driver shortage, we will be increasing “double back” bus runs, meaning a bus is required to run two scheduled routes back to back that would normally have been covered by two separate buses. These “double backs” may impact delivery time to schools or bus stops and may have a domino effect, affecting after-school drop-off times.
