Imagine Summer Program Registration Information

IMAGINE provides inclusive and engaging learning experiences for all students. Students engage in activities to strengthen numeracy and literacy skills while exploring inquiry-based learning in Math, English, Science, Arts, Coding and outdoor activities.  

This program is open to all current 7th and 8th grade students. IMAGINE takes place at Whitman Middle School from July 11th through July 29th, 7:05 - 11:20 a.m. daily.   The program is free to all students, with breakfast, lunch, and transportation provided.

Values in Prevention (VIP) Summer Camp Registration Information

FCPS in partnership with Neighborhood and Community Services will be hosting VIP Camp (Values in Prevention) at Sandburg Middle School. The camp will be from June 29 - July 28 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The camp will consist of Sports, STEAM Activities, Cooking, and several exciting field trips!

There is a $50 VIP Registration Fee that will be collected from camp participants. Students who submit the VIP Camp Registration Form will be notified if they have been accepted into the camp. Accepted participants will receive a confirmation email along with further camp instructions. Payment will be due after receiving confirmation of acceptance and no later than Friday, June 3rd. Transportation and lunch will be provided, and sites will be open at 8:00 a.m. for parent drop-off.

Parent Meeting for registered participants will be held on Tuesday, June 7th (Time TBD)

Jump Start Program

Want to know more about Whitman Middle School? Jump Start is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Whitman Middle School staff, explore the building, and learn about the expectations and programs offered. Jump Start will help students make positive connections to the Whitman community as they prepare to start the 2022-2023 school year.

Bus transportation and snack will be provided!

Students will participate in engaging activities including:

  • Understanding the Whitman Way!
  • Rules of Middle School and Safety & Security
  • Schedules and Middle School Curriculum
  • Exploring the Building
  • Social-Emotional Support
  • After School Support & Clubs
  • And much more!

Dates: Two sessions are offered for rising 7th Grade students.

  • Friday, August 5th, 2022

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
